Welcome to the Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Award Foundation website for the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia’s Masterwork Award. First presented in 2006, this $25,000 annual award looks to recognize, reward and encourage excellence in all creative media and to highlight works that have a strong connection to Nova Scotia in the context of national and international achievement.

We encourage artists of all genres, nominators, members of the press and most importantly, the general public, to explore this website to learn more about the award, past finalists and the current award season.

Digital Web Work Wins Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia Arts Award

David ClarkOctober 29, 2011 - Halifax, Nova Scotia: David Clark’s 88 Constellations for Wittgenstein (to be played with the left hand) captured the $25,000 Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia Arts Award at a gala dinner in Halifax’s Cunard Centre last night (Oct. 28). This is the first time a web-based work has won the award.
